Horizon scanning is useful when it produces a short weekly triage: what might apply, who should assess it, and when a decision is due.

Combine official sources with internal context—sites, products, and permits. A change that matters to one plant may be noise for another.

Record “not applicable” decisions. Auditors often care as much about the rationale as about the actions taken.
